(Imagine that the playlist “You Gotta Have Faith” starting with the song “Faith” by George Michael is playing in the background. Or click here to actually play it!)
For the first time in a long time I am so refreshed, I am feeling truly happy, I can see the horizon at the end of 2020, and I can imagine the year ending happily and optimistically. All that has occurred these last few months suddenly seems like it’s in the past.
As someone with little faith, it’s amazing that it’s the only word I see right now.
I have so much faith that the new leadership in the United States will bring calmness to the world.
I have so much faith in President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. I feel like I have a new sense of ease.
I am not a religious woman, but somehow, after this weekend’s election results, I have faith that the gods (whoever they may be) have shed light on us.
I have faith that the dawn of a new day is upon us and I have so much renewed faith in humanity.
I had faith in John King’s reporting from the “magic wall” for almost 5 days straight.
I had faith watching a woman, a Jamaican / East Indian woman, walk across that stage and take the mic. I had faith as Madam Vice President spoke the words I so desperately wanted to hear. Madam Vice President… a woman… a MOM!
I have faith our daughters of all races will see her and say: “One day I could be her.”
I have faith that we can tell our sons: “One day you could be the President of the United States.” Finally a man our sons can look up to.
Thank you to all of our sisters and brothers in the USA for setting up the righteous leadership we need right now. I hope the near future continues to bring joy and shed light and love on all.
I have so much faith that there is light at the end of the Covid Tunnel, too…
I have. so. much. damn. FAITH!
Deep breath, mama… It’s time to let out a major sigh of relief…
